A proven approach
Since our founding in 1999 Green Pastures has shown how our approach works in housing homeless people and those in temporary accommodation. We are so successful that Local Authorities are now coming to us to provide a solution to their homelessness problems.
The 'church' in action nationwide
Pastoral care of our tenants by members of churches and other faith groups is what makes our approach succeed where others have not. We do not preach to our tenants, we just reach out in love and provide what everyone is entitled to, a secure home.
Portfolio of £14M+ in 9 years
Our property portfolio continues to grow. We buy on the open market. On average 70 percent of each mortgage is covered by our tenants’ Housing Benefit. Individuals and corporates keen to make a Socially Reponsible Investment are invited to make loans to enable more properties to be purchased. Investors will earn 5% on their loan.
Over 800 people housed since 1999
We buy houses and let them as appropriate. We then equip them with everything a tenant needs to live comfortably. Bearing in mind that many of them own nothing, this is a real blessing to them, helping to restore their dignity and self-esteem. Today we house approximately 250 tenants in over 200 self contained units throughout the UK.
